Customers rave about the innovative twists at Azabu Yasai Gashi. As Heather George enthusiastically noted about the pumpkin kakigori, the crunchy contrast provided by vegetable chips is not just a garnish; it’s a thoughtful touch that enhances the entire experience. Diners have found magic in every spoonful, with some flavors reminiscent of childhood favorites, presenting the familiar from an exciting new angle. KB highlights the spinach kakigori, which intriguingly tastes like green tea, showcasing how each dish offers a unique and delightful journey.

In addition to their distinctive kakigori, Azabu Yasai Gashi also serves a variety of refreshing drinks, including their delicious Organic Italian Coffee, available hot or iced for just ¥790. The menu features a selection of adorable vegetable-based sweets that are perfect for gifting or simply enjoying at the cafe — a true testament to the thoughtful creativity that goes into each item.

Whether you're looking for a caffeine fix, a unique dessert experience, or simply a cozy corner to relax, Azabu Yasai Gashi is an unforgettable destination that will leave you eager to return. Don't just take our word for it—make your way to this hidden gem and discover the delightful world of vegetables in desserts, where the nostalgic meets the innovative, right in the heart of Tokyo.

I recently purchased their Tomato & Fig pound cake from the Ginza 6 mall. The combination sounded unique, and I had to try it. The cake was surprisingly good, had the right level of sweetness, and the flavours were complimentary. Looking forward to try the other items in their menu!!!

I have driven past this cafe before and thought it was interesting that they use vegetables in their desserts so when I walked past it today, I decided to give it a try. The cafe takes up half of the space and the other half is a shop where they sell vegetable chips, veggie-flavoured financiers, and Japanese sweets made with veggies. The interior is simple but nice and I especially liked the way the tables were on the same side as the cashier so there was a lot of privacy. I tried the Montblanc with Japanese chestnuts and it seems to be their specialty because the two other customers in the cafe as well as a customer ordering take-out also ordered the same thing. I ordered a drink set and chose the tea latte. The Montblanc consisted of a crunchy meringue base topped with cream and a substantial amount of chestnut puree, and it certainly did not disappoint. The foam in the tea latte was too frothy for me but it tasted good in general although I would have preferred that they let me put the sugar by myself. I will go again but next time, I will just order the Montblanc.

I highly recommend this place for Kakigoori(かき氷,shaved ice) !! Usually it is served with very sweet syrup on the shaved ice, but syrup at this place is very unique! Their syrups are made from vegetables! You should try this!

Delicious! Had the pumpkin kakigori (¥1000), a powdery ice topped with perfectly sweet vegetable puree. A side of vegetable chips provides a crunchy, salty, colourful counterpoint. Will return for the spinach and also cherry tomato kakigoris.

Really good shaved ice. You have to eat it quick before it melts and falls… Had the spinach and red beans. The spinach tasted like green tea. Highly recommended.

Scrumptious and surprising flavors including cherry tomato, lotus, and ground cherry. Delicate and refined desserts and gifts. Perfect stop for tea with a friend or presents for that person with a discerning palate.

Their shaved ice uses vegetables but you would never know, they are super tasty. We had the tiramisu with burdock and the hoozuki shaved ice which were both so amazingly delicious The Cafe also had many dessert gifts too. Highly recommend for unique and delicious shaved ice flavors!
